Severe weather thread ends; more storms on the way Thursday

Skies will start to clear this evening now that a line of strong to severe thunderstorms has made its way through the region.

The high for today reached 79 degrees in Dayton and Columbus and 78 degrees in Cincinnati, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will be mostly clear and breezy with an overnight low around 51 degrees.

Thursday will be sunny with a high near 78 degrees.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are in the forecast Thursday night. The overnight low will fall to around 55 degrees. There is another chance for strong, damaging winds overnight, with the best chance for strong storms in the Tri-State area.

Showers will continue early Friday with a thunderstorm possible before 7 a.m., then a chance of showers and storms until 8 a.m. It will be partly sunny and cooler with a high near 64 degrees.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 45 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny but cooler with a high in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Patchy frost is likely early both days.
